Out of surgery
Amanda is out of surgery. Everything went fine. Good news is that the lymph nodes came back clear. Other than the surgery starting 2.5hrs late, all went fine. I'm off to bed - more in the morning - Craig.
Thanks for the update, Craig, and send our girl some love from us!!! Hang in there! And Congratulations for finishing this step and moving to the next stage.
....And the crowd gathered in philly goes WILD at the news: huge hugs, high-fives and fist-bumps erupt in an unparalleled dsiplay of humanity! ['Eye of the tiger' fades softly and I (your bubbly, booted Balboa of a cousin) am inspired to begin a heartfelt but musically inept rendition of "I run for life."]
Wide eyes and furrowed brows betray the crowd's discomfort when, unannounced, MELISSA ETHRIDGE takes center and whales:
"It's a blur since they told me about it How the darkness had taken its toll And they cut into my skin and they cut into my body BUT THEY WILL NEVER GET A PIECE OF MY SOUL!"
Women swoon! Men faint! Children are like: "who's that?" Members of the Amanda Army who remain standing sing with a passion they didn't know they posessed.
And we finish our fervent ballad with an ensemble prayer of gratitude. Because we, those of us gathered in Philadelphia, know that yours is a victory for ALL OF US.
Amanda: 1 Cancer: 0. Zilch. Nothin'. Nada.
Oh, and Cancer? You ain't seen nothing yet. XO CST
The fact that the lymph nodes came back clear is HUGE! So glad for that news. Thinking of you all the time and hoping that your recovery from surgery is speedy.
